Questions people ask us

Does a hearing test hurt?

No. Pure Tone Audiometry just means listening to beeps through headphones and pressing a button. Impedance Audiometry uses a soft probe at the entrance of the ear that you may feel as slight pressure, like going up in a lift.

How do I book an appointment?

Can I try a hearing aid before buying?

Yes. A hearing aid trial is part of how we work. You listen with suitable hearing aids in the clinic and compare options before you make any decision.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Any previous hearing test reports, a list of your medicines, and your current hearing aids if you already use them. If possible, bring a family member — a familiar voice helps during a hearing aid trial.

My hearing aid isn’t working well. Can you help?

Bring it in for our hearing aid service. We check, clean and test it, replace worn parts such as tubes, domes and filters, and reprogramme it if your hearing has changed.
